Establishment: Seeded with a Hege 3-point hitch drill with presswheels at 16 lb/a.  
Plot size: 4' x 20' , 15'alleys and borders, RCBD with four reps.
Soil type / analysis: Crosby silt loam, pH=6.0, P=108 lbs/a, K=202lbs/a, CEC=15.1, O.M.=2.0, (10/07).
2008 Fertilization: 3 ton of lime was applied in March 2008. 200 lb/a of 0-46-0 and
 500 lb/a of 0-0-60 was applied prior to planting
2008 Pest control: Herbicide was applied on 6-4-08 for weed control.
