* Variety tested using experimental seed that may not give performance identical to that of commercially available seed.
** NOTE: Yields for varieties with low stand ratings (ZR9906R, NARN, Vesna, BESKYD, Dollna, Amos) consisted mostly of weeds and do not represent red clover forage yield for the 2003 growing season.
Data subjected to Nearest Neighbor AOV, adjusted means reported.
Establishment: Seeded with a Hege 3-point hitch drill with presswheels at 12 lb/a.
Plot size: 4' x 20', 4 reps, 7ft alleys; RCBD with nearest neighbor analysis.
Soil type and analysis: Brookston silty clay loam, pH = 6.4, P = 144 lb/a, K = 400 lb/a, CEC = 8.4 (8/02).
2003 Fertilization: No fertilization was required in reference to the soil analysis.
2003 Pest control: No pest control applied.
